The Wheels on the Bus...

Emma and Lauren returning from school

On Friday, Emma went to school with her friend Lauren. It was a little scary at first to arrive at a new school, but it was great to be able to experience being in class here in Canada and to meet many of Lauren's other friends and classmates.

Restoring Lost Hope

This weekend, we are spending time with the people of Main Street Baptist Church and Lambert Cove Baptist on Deer Island. On Monday, we travel to Saint Stephen to meet with a group at the University to share about the work of The Sharing Way in Africa. Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers: We have all been struggling with a lingering cold, but we are on the mend.

Norton Kids Club

Kids Club at Norton Baptist Church

On Thursday evening, we enjoyed a wonderful time with the Kids club in Norton where Tristan and Emma had been members back when we lived in Kiersteadville. The children have been great supporters of the projects in Eastleigh where they have raised hundreds of dollars to support The Sharing Way's work among Somali refugee children. It was great to be able to answer questions, play games, and share about life in Africa.

Connecting Along the Way

Erica and Emma at the Brackley Community Commons

During our weeks, we've been making stops into many different communities to connect with friends and interested groups about our life and ministry in Kenya. We wish we had time to post each day about each of these groups, but we don't always have an internet connection or the energy by the time we arrive at our billets to update our blog. BUT we do want to share our appreciation for the wonderful people who've been hosting us and encouraging us along the way. We have appreciate being with the Church at the Centre men's prayer breakfast, the Brackley & South Milton Women's Institutes, the Midland Young at Heart, and the Lower Coverdale missions prayer group over the past few weeks. Thank you all so much for the way you have uplifted our family.

One big highlight was returning to Young at Heart and seeing how God has blessed this ministry in its outreach to seniors throughout this region of Saint John and Sussex. In its own unique way this is a missional ministry that is blessing lives with the joy of community and faith.

Today we travel back to Norton, New Brunswick, to see our friends Wayne and Angie Murphy and to visit with the Norton Kids Club. Please continue to pray for our safety on the roads and for our times together with churches and groups.

Happy Birthday!

Mommy celebrates her birthday on Monday with our friends the Myers family and ... Anne of Green Gables?

After a very busy weekend, it was so nice to share Christmas and Erica's birthday as we enjoyed Monday with our friends in Sussex. Please keep us in prayer as we continue pour journeys this week in New Brunswick.
