Kamp Tumaini 2018 -- Part Two

The 2018 Kamp Tumaini team serving today at the
ACC&S Zimmerman Church in Nairobi

We wrapped up orientation today by spending time with our Kenyan partner, the African Christian Church & Schools. Along with lunch and some background with the ACC&S Guardians of Hope project officer, John Njihia, we worshipped with a local ACC&S congregation in the community of Zimmerman.

It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the life of an urban Kenyan congregation. The team participated in the main worship service with over five hundred church members.  Many of the team members also volunteered in the Sunday school program, Brigades, and the teen Bible study.

Here are a few pictures from our time together in Zimmerman.

A highlight of the service was the time of blessing the children
and young mothers who had assembled at the front of the sanctuary.
