Hear the Roar!

The Bridgewater Baptist Church Crew
heading out for the Big Ex and the "Pepsi Grand Street Parade"

Since 1891, the community of Bridgewater has hosted one of the oldest agricultural exhibitions in our region. The "Big Ex" continues to draw together people from Nova Scotia's South Shore, and each year it kicks off with a community parade.

This year the Bridgewater Baptist Church's entry brought a little African safari to Lunenburg County as we promoted next week's vacation Bible School program "Roar." The rainy parade day did not dampen our spirits as the Bridgewater Baptist crew danced and clapped to the worship songs of our upcoming children's ministry.

A big thank you to our children's coordinator, Maria Vanderwall,
for organizing this year's parade crew. It was a great day!

Our lion resting on our safari ride!

A big shout out to the Lewis family for so graciously supplying our lead vehicle and the incredible sound system. The Roar was heard and felt!

  1. Hi Aaron and Erica. Someone just forwarded to us your fare well from Africa video where you mentioned that you’d be at Hillside in June but I think that was June 2019.
We have conversations with you every time we see you but I’m never certain you know who we are or our connection to CBM. We’re Gary and Laura Selig who served with CBM in Zaire DRC from 1980-1991 when we were evacuated. Then from 93-95 we worked with the street kids ministry in Brazil with Joyce Hancock. We live in Moncton but my dad was born further down the shore in Port Medway but we grew up just outside of Middleton.
Your love for Africa and it’s people will never leave you which is a good thing. All the best in your ministry at Bridgewater. Florence Doggett is a cousin, actually my dads cousin and Jean Marshall is such a good friend we consider her family.
