Transitions

Welcoming our new Africa team leader!
Colin Godwin, who officially succeeds Malcolm Card as Canadian Baptist Ministries' Africa team leader this month, receiving a token of his authority today at the close of our team conference. The Godwin family willing be moving to Kenya this summer from Rwanda where they have been serving for over a year with AEBR. Previous to their call to Rwanda, the Godwins served for fourteen years as church planters in Belgium.

This weekend also marked a farewell to the Cards and Nelsons who have had a deep impact on the entire CBM family through their leadership and warm friendship. It was a tearful gathering as we laughed and cried together. Both the Cards and Nelsons will be missed.

the evening entertainment

Aaron had a lot of fun pulling together evening games for the conference. Each night we pitted the men against the women in a battle for the "Twizzlers" -- how well do you know your team leaders?

The teams pulling together. In the end it was a tie with the women winning the first night and the men winning the second. Along with the competition, we enjoyed a wonderful time of laughter.
