The Adventures of Fourth Grade

Ava at the Rosslyn Elementary School Library
after last night's spring music performance

Ava's fourth-grade adventure is quickly coming to a close with only two months left. She has had a great year in Mrs. Leonard's homeroom class. Yesterday, we participated in a teacher appreciation party celebrating Mrs. Leonard and the fantastic group of students of 4B.

In the evening, Rosslyn hosted an arts evening for the third, fourth, and fifth-grade students. Along with the music and drama presented in the auditorium, the elementary library was also transformed into an art gallery for the kids.

Throughout the year, Ava has also been enjoying her weekly dance and gymnastic classes. One highlight of the year was Ava's solo dance performance at Rosslyn's Got Talent. We are so thankful for the great opportunities that our children have had to explore and grow in their artistic interests.

Outside of school, fourth grade has also been a time of wonderful friendships and adventures for Ava. When she looks back on this year, we know that Ava will treasure memories of backyard four-square,  surprise party she pulled together with her class-mates, goofing around with her pals, and camping trips with our friends and family.

One of the great joys of living in Nairobi is that we are never far from beautiful wild places. Weekend adventures hiking and camping together are such a gift! These are just a few snapshots that we will treasure from Ava's fourth-grade year.

Super heros!
