Kenya Bound 2011

Thomas & Jen

After another full day in Nairobi, we are enjoying a quiet evening at home. Thomas and Jen joined us for a traditional Kenyan feast, thanks to the culinary talents of our friend Judy. Ava was in heaven with fist-fulls of Ugali and Sukumawiki. Our personal favourite Kenyan dish is the Kikuyu specialty Irio (mashed potatoes with green maize, peas and pumpkin leaf)!

Tomorrow is Emma's last swim meet for the school year. She is very excited to be wrapping up the swim team season with a competition at Rosslyn Academy. Emma will be racing in two events: the backstroke and freestyle.

Please keep our children and our guests, Thomas & Jen, in prayer this week as Erica and I will be away leading a Guardians of Hope leadership conference with the African Christian Church & Schools. We are so thankful for our friends Atalie, Amy and Sammy who will be looking after our kids, and for Laura, Nelius and Farhiya who will be watching out for T&J while we are outside of the city.

For anyone interested in following along with the experiences of Thomas & Jen, we would recommend their blog at www.kenya-bound-2011.blogspot.com
